The future of Danish construction
Fewer hands
must build more.
Danish construction faces a structural challenge. The number of skilled craftspeople is falling. WoodStocks helps carpenters get more building out of the hands they already have.
Too much time on everything
except the work that creates value.

The labour challenge
Denmark is getting fewer skilled hands
The construction industry is facing a critical shortage of skilled craftspeople.
fewer skilled workers in the Danish workforce towards 2032
fewer skilled craftspeople over the ten-year period
fewer trained carpenters
Source: SMVdanmark / HBS Economics. Projection for the period 2022–2032.
Many skilled workers leave the labour market in the coming years, while too few new craftspeople enter to replace them. Among skilled craftspeople, trained carpenters are projected to fall by around 4.9% across the period. Skilled time simply becomes more valuable.
The question is not only
how we get more craftspeople. It is also how we use
the ones we have.
The carpenter gap towards 2032
The pool of trained carpenters is shrinking.
More trained carpenters leave the labour market than the vocational programmes replace. Denmark is not losing carpenter capacity at a single point in time — the available trained carpenter workforce is projected to shrink across the decade.

Productivity
A carpenter's time
should be spent on carpentry.
A construction project contains far more work than raising the structure. Before a single beam goes up, someone has to understand the project, process the drawings, build the construction model, prepare structural and production information, calculate components, generate cutting data, organise materials, identify every piece and prepare the assembly information. Traditionally that work costs time, coordination and money — before and during construction.

Time is your most valuable resource.
We take care of the work around the build — so you can build.
The workflow
You upload the project. We take it from there.
You send the project material you already have. WoodStocks handles the building-construction and technical preparation needed to take the project through our production workflow — drawings, model, component data and cutting information.
You do not have to coordinate the whole chain between project material, production data and cutting yourself.
From drawing to robot
From project to millimetre-precise components
We handle the entire process — from your project upload to ready-to-assemble components. So you can focus on what you do best: building.
- 01
Project upload
You upload the project material you already have.
- 02
Technical processing
We read the project and prepare it for production.
- 03
3D construction model
Every component exists digitally before anything is cut.
- 04
Production data
The model becomes machine-readable cutting information.
- 05
Robot / CNC cutting
Timber is cut to the exact dimensions of the project.
- 06
Packing
Components are sorted, labelled and packed in assembly order.
- 07
Delivery
The pallets arrive on site ready to be assembled.
One flow.
Zero guesswork.Every step is connected.
Every component is identified.
Everything fits.
Not a pile of timber
You are not delivered a pile of timber.
You are delivered a building kit.
WoodStocks takes on the measuring, cutting and sorting — so you save time, avoid waste and use your people on the work that creates value.
Traditional delivery

- Loose timber
- Measuring on site
- Cutting on site
- Offcuts and waste
- Sorting and repacking
- Searching for components
- Many manual operations
WoodStocks delivery

- Precision-cut timber
- Organised pallets
- Numbered, identified components
- QR codes on all components
- Assembly guide
- Digital construction model
More time for what matters
Less time on preparation and waste — more time building and delivering projects.
Faster assembly
Everything fits first time
Fewer errors
Precise measurements and marking
Less waste
Optimised from start to finish
Better bottom line
More out of your own hands

Component identity
Every piece of timber has its own identity.
Each relevant component is given a unique identification and QR code. Scan it with a phone or tablet, and the digital assembly system shows exactly where that component belongs in the structure.
Scan. Find. Assemble.
No doubt about where the component goes. The assembly guide and the digital construction information are available directly on site.
We do not just sell precision-cut timber
We give the carpenter time back.
When WoodStocks takes over more of the preparation and production work, your team can focus on what really creates value on site.
- Measuring
- Manual cutting
- Sorting
- Identifying components
- Production preparation
- Unnecessary coordination
- Correcting avoidable cutting mistakes
- Assembly
- Completing projects

- Winning new projects
- Generating revenue

The business case
You do not necessarily need more carpenters to increase capacity.
You need to get more out of the capacity you already have.
When WoodStocks takes over more of the preparation and production work, your team can spend more time on the work that creates value on site.

Conceptual illustration, not a calculated productivity claim.

Technology should not remove the craftsman — it should remove the unnecessary work around the craftsman.

More time on site
Less time on preparation means more time building.

Higher capacity
Complete more projects with the same team.

Better utilisation
Your skilled people work where they create value.

Stronger bottom line
Lower waste, fewer hours and more projects.
Built for carpenters. Designed for profit.
Build more.
Waste less.
Keep more profit.
WoodStocks is built to improve the economics of every project — reducing preparation costs, cutting waste and freeing your team to complete more projects with the same workforce.
Less labour time
Robot-cut components arrive ready for assembly, reducing measuring, cutting and sorting on site.
Less material waste
Precision cutting optimises every component and reduces costly offcuts.
Lower preparation costs
We handle the technical preparation required to turn your project into production-ready components.
More projects. Same team.
Less time spent on each project frees capacity to take on more work without adding more hands.

The result
More profit from every hour,
every project and every carpenter.
