From drawings to building kit

From project to agreed delivery

Drawings and the structural model define the components to be reviewed. The quotation and approved documentation determine what is cut, labelled and delivered. Site preparation and responsibilities must be agreed separately.

1

Project & drawings

Use the existing partner workspace to submit the current project files. Identify the intended use, site constraints and responsible project team so missing information can be resolved.

2

Review & agreement

Confirm the structural design, material sections, connections, interfaces and commercial scope before production is approved. A digital model is not itself evidence that every construction decision has been approved.

3

Production & packing

Cutting, component identification and documentation follow the accepted production information. Coordinate delivery, unloading, storage and assembly responsibilities with the project team; record changes against the project revision.

Scope and responsibilities

  • The quotation must identify the timber components, cutting, labelling and documentation included.
  • Do not assume that foundations, roofing, insulation, finishes, installations, site equipment or assembly are included unless the agreed scope says so.

Drawings and project requirements

  • Prepare the current drawings, dimensions, intended use and site requirements.
  • An IFC model can support the structural review; material sections and quantities must come from the accepted project, not an estimate from a picture.
  • Resolve engineering, permissions and interfaces before production is approved.

Questions before you start

Questions before you start

Which drawings can I start with?

Send the current plans, sections and dimensions you have. We review the material with you and clarify what else is needed.

How is the delivery scope agreed?

The quotation identifies the components, processing, documentation and services included, together with responsibilities and exclusions.
